Fabulous turnout today - 13 out of 18 possible ...3 of the five missing unable to come due to health reasons. Thanks to our Life Time Appointment/Election Secretary Suzanne Brown (Sissel) for always doing a great job of arranging to gather this motley crew.

1962 Grand Valley class holds 55 year reunionThe Grand Valley Class of 1962 held their 55 year reunion on Saturday afternoon, June 24 at the Toot-Toot in Bethany, MO. Of the 27 class members, nine are deceased, 13 were in attendance were: Ken Baker (Pat) of Waukee; Suzanne (Sissel) Brown (Wayne) of Pleasant Hill; Jean (Baker) Coppes of Yarmouth; Rev. Raymond Dose and Dola of Lovilla; Harold Foland (Linda) of Osceola; Gary Grose (Nancy) of Kellerton; Darrell Hall (Susie) of Ozark MO; Phyllis (Ritchie) Hewlett (Albert) of Grand River; Jerry Hightshoe (Ila) of Swisher; Jan Holmes and sister Kathryn, Mount Ayr; and Kent Kirkpatrick (Connie) of Lamoni. Roll call consisted of each class member telling how long they have been retired, what they have been doing in retirement, and their special school memory. Prior to eating, Rev. Raymond Doser led the class in prayer. After everyone finished their meal, the class participated in a trivia game of their school days. The day ended with everyone visiting and reminiscing about days gone by.
