Nicole Denney of Mount Ayr was crowned Ringgold county fair queen and Beth Gourley of Mount Ayr was named county fair princess on opening night of entertainment at the fair Thursday.
A total of $1,260 was raised for the 4-H youth fund at the tenth annual pie sale preceding the livestock sale Monday morning.
Ringgold County has a new assistant county engineer in James David "Dave" King. King will assist Vaughn Clark who will continue to divide his time betwee the Ringgold and Decatur County engineer's offices. King
will be full-time in Ringgold County.
Glenda Jobe, a Sun Valley Lake resident, hit a hole-in-one at the Sun Valley Country Club course and is thought to be the first one.
Installation services Sunday, July 21, made official the assuming of duties as pastor of the Mount Ayr First Lutheran Church and the Leon Our Savior's Lutheran Church for Rev. Gregory J. Schultz.
