At the town election to be held next Monday, March 25, the proposition of issuing bonds in the sum of $5,000 to build
a town hall on the southeast corner of the square will be submitted to the voters. Both men and women will be permitted
to vote on the proposition.
NOTE: Women did not have the right to vote in 1918!
Clair RHOADES, who enlisted in the navy several weeks ago, received his call Sunday and leaves tomorrow for New Jersey.
Blockton -- N. O. HICKENLOOPER, who has a quartermaster's position in Washington, D. C., has been in Des
Moines a few days and was a Blockton visitor Tuesday.
