Thursday, February 05, 2015: Condolences go out to Harold BROWN and his family. Harold was active at Clearview long
before he moved in. He was the harmonica player for the Tingley Kitchen Band for serveral years. When he moved into
Clearview, he was out every Tuesday morning for music in the morning and every Wednesday afternoon to play the harmonica
with Carmene JAMES on the piano. He brought joy to many of the residents with his musical talents. Harold will be missed
by everyone, young and old, at Clearview. Sympathy goes out to Richard DAVISON and his family. Richard was a wonderful
man who took pride in his farm, family and International tractors. He enjoyed looking at tractor magazines and books
with the staff. His family was in daily to support him. Richard will be missed by everyone.

Thursday, April 02, 2015: Condolences go out to the Bonnie DURHAM family. She passed away recently. She was a wonderful lady who enjoyed life. Bonnie loved
to visit and make people laugh and she always had something to share, from her embroidery to a story in the paper. She will be missed by staff and residents
at Clearview. There are four residents celebrating wedding anniversaries in April. They are Loren and Alma ELLIOTT on April 2 for 67 years, Bill and Marcene ANDERSON
on April 11 for 63 years, Doc and Mary Lou PENNEBAKER on April 27 for 30 years, and Alice and Dale ARNOLD on April 30 for 64 years.

Thursday, April 16, 2015: Condolences go out to the Marilyn RICHARDS' family. Marilyn was a special lady to many of us at Clearview, residents and staff.
She would often put a smile on our faces daily by something she'd say. Sympathy goes out to the Barton PERRIGO family. Barton was quite a man who kept to
himself. He was very intelligent and enjoyed watching sports teams from Chicago, including the Bears, White Sox, Cubs, and the Bulls. He will be missed.
Condolences go out to the Robert ADAMS family. Robert was here for a short time, but was a well known man in the community. Thoughts and prayers go out to

Thursday, April 23, 2015: Condolences go out to the Art GLADFELDER family. Art was a man of few words, yet he could always put a smile on the staff's
face. He will be missed by all who took care of him. God bless him. The Tingley Kitchen Band was in to entertain in the afternoon Tuesday. Band members
included Rose JAMES, Dick and Virginia WALDEN, Peggy SKARDA, Iona TRIGGS, Peggy WAGENKNECHT and Carmene JAMES. The Tingley Methodist Church ladies were in to
host this event. They served cookies and coffee. Church members volunteering were Shirley HICKMAN, Cleone HOSFIELD and Kathy STAMMER.

Thursday, April 30, 2015: Condolences go out to Mick FRANKLIN and family on the death of her husband, Dick FRANKLIN. Dick was a special man who enjoyed
life. He was always seen driving his electric scooter around the facility and outside enjoying the sunshine. He will be missed by staff and residents at
Clearview. Sympathy goes out to the Alice ARNOLD family. Alice enjoyed reading and watching TV during her stay at Clearview. Her husband, Dale, was also a

Ruth was a longtime CNA at Clearview and volunteered in other places in her retired life. She was loved by many staffers at Clearview as she enjoyed

Thursday, June 04, 2015: Condolences go out to the Don STRANGE family. Don has been with Clearview for more than four years. He would have turned 103 on
June 14. Don enjoyed talking about farming and ate candy when his daughter, Shirley ERICKSON, would bring it in. His favorite was fresh popped corn on
Wednesday. He will be missed by everyone. Our sympathy is sent to the Wayne McGEHEE family. Wayne was no stranger to Clearview as we took care of his
wife, Rosetta, and along with Rosetta, you always saw Wayne. He moved next door to assisted living prior to moving into Clearview. He will be missed by

Thursday, July 16, 2015: Congratulations to Lana HARTMAN on becoming a grandmother twice over the weekend. Renda and Travis HARTMAN delivered two
beautiful boys on Sunday, July 12. Kannon was six pounds and Kolter was five pounds, 12 ounces. Grandparents are Ronda and Ted SMITH and Neil and
Lana HARTMAN. They are welcomed home by big sisters Kylee (14) and Kianna (10). ~ ~ ~ ~

Thursday, July 30, 2015: Congratulations to Theola CAMERON and Shawn CAMERON on the birth of their great-granddaughter and granddaughter. Quinn
Catherine BENTLEY, was born July 25 at 10:40 p.m. weighing six pounds and 2.4 ounces and was 19 inches long. Her parents are Taylor and Bradley BENTLEY.
Grandparents are Marty and Shawn CAMERON and Alan and Shelly BENTLEY. Great-grandmother is Theola CAMERON. Amon HUNT received a Veteran's pin during a
special pinning with famly and friends present. He was recognized for his dedication and bravery.

Thursday, August 27, 2015: Condolences go out to Tony DRISKELL'S family. Tony wasn't at Clearview very long, but he wasn't unfamiliar to the people

and her family. Maxine was a long-time Ringgold county resident with several connections to staff and other residents. She was a teacher that no one
could forget. Maxine will be missed by everyone here at Clearview. Thoughts and prayers go out to her family. The Waubonsie Tractor Club drove into town
Saturday morning. They stopped on the north drive with people out to watch. They parked them and visited with the residents for an hour. Drivers and

Cards can be sent to Irene c/o Clearview Nursing Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa 50854. Condolences go out to the family of Marjorie McFARLAND. Many remember her as their school teacher here in Mount Ayr. She als substituted for several
classes after her retirement. She will truly be missed by her friends and family at Clearview. Good luck wishes to Becky CALDWELL as she was able to return to her home with her daughter.
Friday at noon, Matt ROUTH and several of our staff were able to present our three centenarians, Vera DAUGHTON (100), Edith WOOD (101), and Helen BLUNCK (102) with Certificates of Recognition from the Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Iowa and the Director of the Iowa Department of Aging. It was truly an honor to be able to recognize these three ladies on living to 100 years of age and to thank them for all of their valuable contributions they've made to the history and prosperity of our state. ~ ~ ~ ~

Thursday, December 03, 2015: Ellston Christmas on Main The city of Ellston is holding their Christmas on Main event Saturday, December 5. Open houses will be hosted by Moma C's, The Crib and the Foxy Bobcat from 4-7 p.m. Santa Claus will make an appearance from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the Old Station. A free will soup supper will run from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Community Building. Proceeds will help fund next summer's European band trip for Chase HENRY and Tyler JONES. Ellston Cantata A Christmas Cantata, "The Star Still Shines," will be presented by voices from Ellston and Tingley United Methodist Churches on December 6 at 4 p.m. at the Ellston United Methodist Church. This southern gospel presentation provides a toe-tappin' praise and worship experience. Come and rekindle the light that shines in our hearts at Christmas! A goodwill offering chili supper will immediately follow this performance.

were in a severe traffic accident and were hospitalized for a few days. They are now recovering from their injuries at home.

The death of another past resident of Kellerton was reported this past week. Larry KNEEDLER passed away last Sunday. He was the son of
John and Lela KNEEDLER. He is survived by wife and children, and sisters, Mary and Sharon, and brother, Marvin. Deepest sympathy is extended

death of a long time resident, Marion STARK, in the nursing home in Mount Ayr following a lengthy illness. He will be greatly missed by family and many

The little man weighed in at 7 lbs., 2 oz. and is 20 in. long. Penni HEWLETT of Iowa City is one of the grandparents. Judy went to see Bryin on Saturday
and Sunday, and visited with Penni, too. ~ ~ ~ ~
Thursday, April 30, 2015: Pete and Larita LESAN drove from Apache Junction, Arizona on March 26 to attend the funeral service at Turlock, California for his
brother, Richard (Dick) LESAN, age 85, which were held on March 28th. Pete and Larita returned to their home in rural Kellerton, Iowa on April 9th to attend
the funeral services for her brother-in-law, Melvin HODGE, age 88, of Atlantic, Iowa on April 11th.

Care for a few years. Her health had been declining. Deepest sympathy is extended to all of the family. Loreen was a very special lady, and loved by those

Thursday, July 16, 2015: Shirley and Terry TICE recently traveled to Columbus AFB, Columbus, Mississippi for the Awards Ceremony, July 1st for Lt. Stephen
TICE. He received his silver flight wings. He can now fly any plane on the planet. He finished 2nd of 19 other young Air Force officers. He also received the
coveted Air Force Association Award for "dedication to military aviation, personal integrity, and sense of patriotism." He will be receiving orders to Myrtle
Beach, S.C. to fly C-17's - a cargo jet that can haul up to 800,000 pounds of equipment and cargo. Stephen is married to Lt. Ashelyn TICE and they have a
2 year old son, Dominic Terry TICE. Also attending were his mother, Correna TICE, his sister, Dakota, his best friend John and his Aunt Theresa, all from
Ohio. Dick WINKLER of Lorimor, Donna WEBB'S son-in-law, passed away this past week. Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife, Dianna, and son, Cody,

Thursday, September 17, 2015: Sandy CAMPBELL attended her sister, Linda and Harold FOLAND'S 50th Wedding Anniversary held in Grand River on Sunday.
A luncheon was held at noon followed by a reception for close friends in the afternoon. It was good seeing relatives from a distance that hadn;t gotten to
see for a long time. The celebration was held by their daughtes, Stacey and Cherie. Wishing them many more years of happiness. Judy DOOLITTE attended the
STILL dinner on Sunday at Kellerton Community Center. She repored that she had a good time. Jesse STILL came Saturday morning and helped Grandma and
Aunt Jan get everything to the Community Center for the annual STILL dinner. We had a great attendance and many relatives of Leonard and Mary STILL, we
had not visited with for years. Everyone seemed to have a great time and the food was outstanding and plentiful. The kids enjoyed having the gymnasium
to play in. Our Community Center is a great place to have a get-together, and the price is very reasonable. ~ ~ ~ ~

Thursday, October 01, 2015: Dee EURITT reported that Col. Tom ALLEN donated $100 at the Kellerton Breakfast for Supper meal this month. He just came in
and told Paul FIFER that he should donate to our roof fund and did not even want a meal. John and Paul talked with Retired Col. ALLEN for quite a while.
It was great for the guys to reminisce and talk about family ties to the community.

Thursday, October 15, 2015: The new roof has been done on the Community Center (which includes the former Grand Valley Community school gymnasium,
Voc Ag room and industrial arts room). We certainly wish to thank the [GV] Alumni for seeing that this was done. They are making updates to our center.
We were driving around our town after church on Sunday and noticed several places are decorated for fall. I wish to thank Janie STARK for planting flowers
in the cement containers on the four corners of the main (Decatur) street here in town. They are very pretty.

Thursday, December 31, 2015: Saturday evening, Kathryn and Rod and Debbie HOLMES were called to Des Moines to see their brother, John HOLMES at Mercy Hospital, whose condition
was declining. John was returned to his home on Sunday, and then to the Hospice House in Creston, where he passed away just before 6:00 a.m. on Monday morning.
Former resident, Johnnie HOLMES, passed away at the Hospice House in Creston on Monday morning. Johnnie was born and raised in Kellerton, and has lived in the Des Moines area and in
Mount Ayr for the past 28 days. Funeral services will be at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr on Thursday, December 31 at 2 p.m., with visitation prior to the service at 1 p.m. Thank you to all

Condolences go to Amy MOBLEY and her family. Amy's grandmother passed away last week. Services for her were held on
Monday in Grant City. Veronica MECKO and Betsy KEENAN were out and about on Saturday doing a "Winter raptor survey" all
around this area. They counted 50 birds: 24 red-tailed hawks, 10 bald eagles and rough legged hawks, a merlin, northern
harrier and prairie falcon. A few of the birds were too far away to definitely identify. It was a nice day for bird
watching. They saw a robin and some meadowlarks which is unusual for the season.

Thursday, February 05, 2015: The Maloy community lost a long time resident on Thrusday. Richard DAVISON brought his young
family to the area to farm and live south of town in 1968. Richard and Carole have raised their family and farmed inthe
Maloy area for 47 years. Their son, Robert and his family, continue Richard's farming tradition. The red tractors continue
to roll. Our sympathies go to the DAVISON family. A memorial service for Richard was held Monday morning in Mount Ayr with
burial in Hopkins, Missouri. Many residents from our community, past and present, attended the service.

the $100,000 availble in the Iowa Lottery's "$100,000 Mega Crossword" instant scratch game. BRABY claimed her prize Monday at the lottery's headquarters
in Clive. She purchased her winning ticket at CGI Foods, 104 N. Filmore St. in Mount Ayr. The $100,000 Mega Crossword is a $10 scratch game.

Thursday, April 23, 2015: Weekend visitors in Ringgold and Taylor counties were two of the Catholic sisters who lived in Maloy for many years. Sister
Joanna RETTENMEIER and Sister Marian KLOSTERMANN, who now live in Dubuque, came on Friday. They stayed with Wendell and Joan JACKSON. Friday evening they
all joined Ed and Jan FORD and Steve and Cindy MITCHELL for supper with Dick and Joyce WEEHLER. Saturday the nuns visited friends at Clearview in Mount Ayr
and friends in Maloy. Saturday evening they attended mass in Bedford. They had a chance to visit with several friends at a potluck supper there. Sunday they
attended mass in Mount Ayr and visited with more friends before returning to their homes in Dubuque.

Thursday, June 25, 2015: Good luck to Payton WEEHLER this week as he competes in the National Junior High Rodeo Finals in Des Moines at the Iowa State
Fair Grounds. His first event was break away on Sunday night. He had a great 5th place. Payton and his cousin, Houston STEPHENS, will be competing in the team
roping Monday night. There will be other events through the week. It was a busy weekend at the KEENAN/TERRELL house. They hosted the annual Solstice party.
Don RAY'S friend Dave LEAFGREN came from Fort Madison to visit him. They helped Brian with getting the fire area ready. Friday evening Mary Ellen and Carroll
TAYLOR stopped by to visit. Saturday they woke up with a car with California plates in front. Their niece and her mom arrived from L.A. Brian's niece from Green
Bay and her family pulled in later, with her three girls. Friends from Kansas City and Des Moines, Omaha, and some [from] Lamoni joined in for a potluck,
ultimate Frisbee, folk dancing and then the large fire, to celebrate the shortest night of the year. The relatives from California enjoyed the rain.

Buddy from Chicago and Austin, who has volunteered to stay through the Fall. Betsy got home from visiting in Buffalo on Friday night. Sunday she went to
see the Fiber Art exhibition at the Des Moines Art Center. It was the las day before they pack it up to send it on. The WARIN family hosted Donna's brother,
Steve and wife, Kitty POORE of Hillsboro, Oregon, for a few days this week. Steve was here for his Class of 1970 reunion. They all attended the CREES
family reunion in Grand River on Saturday. The WARINS have had lots of visitors to see their new Labrador puppies. ~ ~ ~ ~

with his sister and her husband, Ben and Lois HILL, during his high school years. He graduated with the 1958 class and went into the military. Later he had
a career in law enforcement in Iowa and Colorado. From 2002 until his death, he was Municipal Court Judge of Lumberton, TX, where he and his wife Brenda lived>

Thursday October 29, 2015: Former Maloy resident, Rosalie SHAY McFARLAND, passed away last week. Rosalie was the youngest daughter of Lee and Teresa
SHAY. She grew up in the home where Marci BJUSTROM and her daughters now live. A funeral mass was Monday morning in Ottumwa. She was buried with her husband
joe in the St.Mary Catholic Cemetery Monday afternoon. Former Maloy residents, Martha CARR and Tom CARR, niece and nephew of Rosalie, and Joan WARIN were
in attendance for the burial. Joyce WEEHLER and Joan JACKSON also attended.
Veronica MECKO and Emily WILMOTH were staying with Brian TERRELL and Betsy
KEENAN last weekend. They were doing owl surveys at the Wildlife Area on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. This is part of a National Project Owl Net and they
were funded this year by Des Moines, Iowa and Omaha Audubon Societies and the Iowa Ornithological Union. This is the 5th year that Veronica has trapped
and banded Saw-whet Owls in Ringgold county during their fall migration. They work under Jerry Toll of Omaha, NE who is a master bander and applied for the
grant to continue this research. On Friday night Veronica and Emily caught the largest Saw-whet owl that Veronica had handled in her
5 years of doing this work! Veronical took Betsy out for lunch at Jamie's Saturday for her birthday.

baby, Caleb. The writer also went along and visited at daughter's, the Jr. DETWEILERS. The lower grade girls in Middle Fork School had a fun day Friday

Thursday, April 30, 2015: Vernon TROYERS received news of twin great grand daughters, born to Alvin Jay and Mary Ellen MULLETS of West Plains, MO. Great
grand parents are Ms. Dan KAUFFMAN of Bloomfield, EDli BYLER of Wautoma, WI, and one great great grandmother, Mrs. Dan HERSBERGER of Stuars Draft, VA. The
area parochial schools have all had their year end programs and picnic, followed by the usual soft ball game by able bodied dads, youth and pupils, all
together. Granted, at times there are some hilarious plays, but all in mutual enjoyment. Sam MILLERS had the MAST cousins for supper and volleyball
Tuesday evening as a farewell for Nelson MILLER who has plans to move to Bloomfield in the near future. ~ ~ ~ ~
Thursday, May 14, 2015: Born to Aaron and Lena TROYER, their third son, May 1st, named Paul. Welcomed by brothers, Emanuel Ray and Titus. Grandparents
are Eli and Lydia YODER, Vernon and Mary TROYER, both local. The evening of April 30 the writer received the death message of her mother, Sarah HERSHBERGER
of Stuarts Draft, VA. Preparations were made to leave for Virginia Friday, with Paul, Jonas, Reuben and Ada, Nelson and Lucy, Vernon and myself going, and
meeting daughters Leona and Esther in Bloomfield, as well as Jr. and Becky in Princeton. The funeral was Sunday, May 3, with around 600 attending. Preceding
her in death were two sons and four daughters. Surviving are four daughters and four sons, 66 grand children, 240 great-grand children and 20 great-great-grand
children. We all returned home May 5. May 7 was the wedding of Kathryn MAST (Herman and Susanna) and John MAST (Sam and Alma) of Homer, MI. The ceremony was
at the Sam BONTRAGER home, the reception at the bride's home, Herman MASTS, where around 300 attended. A bus load of relatives from Augusta, WI and a bus load
from Homer, MI of friends attended, and, also, grandmother Wilma MAST and family of Marion, HY. The above all happened with in a week's time (eight days exact).
Overwhelming for the family. ~ ~ ~ ~

Thursday, June 25, 2015: The Reuben TROYERS had a public auction Friday evening for their surplus flowers and plants of the greenhouse. There was a fair
turn out. A manure spreader filled with blooming flowers was the high bid of the day. ~ ~ ~ ~
Thursday, July 02, 2015: Vernon SCHROCKS and six children and Philip SCHROCKS and baby of Cuba, IL. made an unexpected and surprised stop over at
Reuben TROYERS last Thursday evening. They were on their way home, having been to Lewistown, Montana for a wedding. On this side of Beford they had a break
down. By chance and luck Roy BONTRAGER'S crew came along and offered assistance bringing them to Reuben's, an acquaintance, staying for bed and breakfast.
Another driver was summoned who then took them home the next morning. Thursday evening the community had their annual ice cream supper and social
at Jacob SHROCKS. ~ ~ ~ ~
Thursday, July 09, 2015: Lester BEECHYS, Alton, Naomi and Emma, Alva BONTRAGERS and baby went to Seymour, MO to attend the funeral of Lester's cousin, a
young man 30 years old who was struck by a strong bolt of lightning while out in the field cultivating corn. The team of horses he was using were also struck
down instantly, dead. Jonas TROYERS had the young folks for a frolic Wednesday evening. The girls cleaned the strawberry patch, the boys finished the
porch railing, some dug out beside the barn where they want to build something. Several also de-budded thistle plants in the oat field. ~ ~ ~ ~
Thursday, July 30, 2015: Reuben TROYER had the young folks Friday evening. The boys worked on the storage shed. Girls pulled weeds. That may sound like
avery distasteful job, but with many hands working together, talking and having a good time, it's no so unpleasant as it may appear. Many hands make
light work. Jacob PLANK is taking orders for peaches which are to be delivered July 31. ~ ~ ~ ~

had two new grand babies last week. A daughter to Leroy and Mary DETWEILER of Princeton, named Lynita. A son to Levi and Ruby MAST of Homer, MI, named
Leander. The Robert DETWEILER family relocated and moved to Bloomfield Wednesday. We are sorry to see them leave. ~ ~ ~ ~

Oct. 19, 2015. Thursday was the wedding of Noah BONTRAGER, son of Roy and Cora, and Esther MAST, daughter of Herman and Susanna MAST. The ceremony
was held at the Roy BONTRAGER residence, the reception at the bride's home, Herman MASTS, where over 300 guests were served a scrumtious dinner. Grandparents
attending were Marvin and Kathryn MULLET of Arthur, IL, Mrs. Mary BONTRAGER of Downing, MO, Mrs. Wilma MAST of Marion, KY, Vernon and Mary TROYER, local.
Guests were from Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, and Colorado as well as many locals. Noah bought the former RINEHART place this
spring. He renovated the house, removed the barn making a homey looking place. They expect to move in soon. ~ ~ ~ ~
Thursday November 19, 2015: Levi YODER (Alberts) received a broken leg when the horse he was riding slipped on the pavement and fell on his leg. He needed surgery to fix it. The TROYER clan that had gone to Stuarts Draft, VA, for the estate auction of their parents-grandparents' sale, Oct. 31, have all returned home. Going were the families of Paul TROYERS, Reuben
TROYERS, Aaron TROYERS, and Nelson TROYERS. Also Mrs. Herman MAST, newlyweds Noah and Esther Bontrager, and Rosanna TROYER. Mary TROYER along with Joanna TROYER had gone down earlier on Amtrack to help along with preparations for the sale. It was a memorable day. Over 200 attended the family auction of our parents' last possessions. Many precious memories were recalled. Nancy TROYER returned to her post of duty in Bloomfield and Joanna to her duties in Princeton after their VA trip. Going to Seymour for a school meeting Saturday morning were teachers Naomi and Malinda BEECHY, Rosa and Arie MILLER. Also Vernon TROYER, Edna BONTRAGER and children and Samuel BONTRAGERS.

Thursday, April 23, 2015: The Activity Center was saddened to hear of the passing of Betty BROSHER this weekend. Betty and her husband Floyd were
instrumental in helping us get the Activity Center started. We so enjoyed the exuberance of Betty while she was here with us and were sad when they moved
from the community to be closer to children. ~ ~ ~ ~
Thursday, August 27, 2015: We would like to thank Patty STARK as a Steering Committee member for volunteering to take over the position of General Fund
Treasurer for the Activity Center. We thank Betty SNETHEN for the last 7 1/2 years of service in that position. We have a lot of people who started out
with us almost eight years ago who are still Board of Directors members and Steering Committee members and are grateful for their participation. We are a
Senior Activity Center, but we are here for those people who are needing something to do during the week, who are needing to have friendship and social
times and those who just want to have fun! Some are here four times a week for our activities and we are tickled to see them! We know then that the Activity
Center serves a purpose for our community and are blessed to be able to do that. ~ ~ ~ ~

Thursday, January 22, 2015: Happy birthday wishes were extended to Wilmina JENNINGS who observed her 90th birthday on

Thursday, February 05, 2015: Our small community experienced more than its share of sadness last week. The whole
community was shocked and saddened to receive word last Saturday evening that 16-year-old Triston ACKLEy has passed away
from an accidental gunshot wound. Triston was a special young man, beloved by all who knew him. Services were held Thursday
at the Mount Ayr gymnasium with burial following at the Tingley cemetery. The whole community was also saddened to hear
that Marjorie WERNER had passed away Saturday evening at Health Care Center in Mount Ayr, where she briefly resided
following a stroke. Everyone loved Marjorie. What a fine example her life is for anyone! Her services were held Saturday
morning at the Methodist church here with burial following at the Tingley cemetery. Once again more sad news has been
received here. Harold BROWN, another long time Tingley community resident until his health forced him to enter Clearview
nursing home, passed away Saturday morning. His services have been set for 11 Friday morning at the Christian church here.

Services for Harold BROWN were held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Christian Church here, burial following at the
Tingley Cemetery. Those attending the meal site have many fond memories of Harold. He loved being part of any music taking place here, he
and his harmonica. As long as he was able, he served the beverages knowing exactly what everyone wanted. For health reasons, he resided at
Clearview Nursing Home at Mount Ayr. He was always especially happy when daughter Joni ROBINSON, brought him to Tingley, and he could be a part of
the music here again. We sure will miss him and his visits back.

Thursday February 19, 2015: This sounds almost unbelievable. Seventy yeas of marriage was celebrated by a Tingley couple. Dave and
Wilmina JENNINGS, at the meal site Tuesday, February 10. This couple are still able to reside in their own home in Tingley and regularly attend
the meal site here. They lived and farmed in the Sand Creek area before retiring to Tingley. Lucky for Tingley, Dave had a bit of advice to
share with all couples, "Never go to bed and sleep without resolving any misunderstandings that have occurred between you." Pretty good
advice. It's sure worked for them. Special music for the day was provided by the band. Their members for this day were: their accompanist,
Carmene JAMES, plus Bonnie MANDERS, Rose CAMPBELL, Doris OVERHOLTZER, Peggy SKARDA, Darlene MORGAN, Marcia JONES, and Dick and Virginia WALDEN.
Slides of the JENNINGS brought by their daughter were enjoyed throughout the morning. Anyone present that had a special memory of the JENNINGS
was encouraged to share it. Some mighty fine ones were shared. The anniversary waltz as danced by George and Naomi HOSFIELD was dedicated
to the JENNINGS. Dennis ADKISSON, their son-in-law, was privileged to crown them with special crowns. Present to share their way was
their daughter, Suzanne (Dennis) ADKISSON their pastor Bruce GIESE, several of their church family, and plenty of meal site friends.
Congratulations, folks, from the whole group. Ice cream was a special treat enjoyed provided by their daughter and son-in-law Susanne
and Dennis ADKISSON. ~ ~ ~ ~
Thursday February 26, 2015: George HOSFIELD took first place with a perfect score of 484 for four games during the February 16, 2015
cribbage night. Turk ALLEN was second with 476 and Irma JOHNSTON took third with a 469. There were four entries. The next monthly cribbage
night is scheduled for March 9, 2015 at the Wagon Wheel Restuarant. Come join us! The meal site's Valentine celebration was originally
scheduled for Friday, February 13, but had to be delayed until Tuesday, February 17. The meal sie was also closed on Monday, February 16 to
observe President's Day. Bob and Lois ENGLAND were chosen as Valentine King and Queen for 2015. They were crowned by last year's king and queen,
Sue RICHARDS and Turk ALLEN. The day's musicians dedicated the song, "It Had To Be You" to the special couple, who have observed 57 years
together. The entertainment this day was provided by the band with members being heir accompanist, Carmene JAMES, plus Bonnie MANDERS, Evelyn
SICKELS, Rose CAMBPELL, Doris OVERHOLTZER, Peggy SKARDA, Iona TRIGGS and Dick and Virginia WALDEN. All received a treat cup this day provided
by Nancy JARRED. A drawing was held to award two boxes of candy. Lucky winners were Rose CAMPBELL and Neil JOHNSTON. Pie a la mode was a
special treat enjoyed by all with their meal for the occasion. Happy birthday wishes are extended to Cleone HOSFIELD, who observed her
birthday on Monday, February 16. Her sister, Jenese TULL was present to share her day. All were sorry to learn, when word was received
here, that Wayne WARD had passed away February 19 at his home in Mount Ayr. He was the meal site's milk man for several years. Everyone
always enjoyed his sense of humor. Sympathy is extended to his family.

so supportive of the meal site and the community and leave many happy memories here. The family thoughtfully shared a lovely bouquet with their meal site

when it was discovered last week that one of our long-time residents, Lloyd MILLER had passed away last Friday, Oct. 23 at his home after a brief illness. Lloyd was a wonderful person,
known to everyone in our community. Services were held Wednesday at the United Methodist Church here. Sympathy is extended to his family.

Thursday November 12, 2015: Everyone was saddened here when word was received that Naomi HOSFIELD had passed away after suffering a long illness. Naomi volunteered many hours
every day to the meal site for many years as long as she was able. Her quiet, helpful ways made her a friend to everyone. Services were held Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Ellston United Methodist Church in Ellston. Sympathy is extended to her family. ~ ~ ~ ~
Thursday November 19, 2015: Last week started in a special way for the meal site. It was Veteran's Day. Kathy and Roy KLOBNAK and Don WILSON were present to bring a very meaningful
program dedicated to veterans. Can't stress enough that all the freedoms we enjoy and take for granted, we owe to the sacrifices veterans have made through the years. Recognition was given all veterans present and their branch and time of service. Veterans present included Neil JOHNSTON, Don POORE, Al CLOUGH, Lloyd JOHNSON, Kraig PENNINGTON, Turk ALLEN, Bob ENGLAND, Jack ENGLAND, John CLINE, and Roy KLOBNAK. We all sure appeciate the wonderful program the KLOBNAK'S and Don brought to the meal site. All enjoyed dining on a delicious roast beef
menu and homemade pie ala mode. Al CLOUGH shared the sad news that Dorothy had passed away early that morning []. Ae'll all emember Dorothy and her sweet ways and specially as one of our faithful, Friday Singers. Sympathy is extended to Al and the rest of the family. ~ ~ ~ ~

Bill gave a devotion and 28 family members attended a picnic at Judge Lewis Park before hand. Pastor Tom's cancer has returned and he is taking chemo
