A.J. HADDIX
Mr. HADDIX was the photographer in Tingley for several years. His studio was in operation from at least 1890 (possibly started in the 1880s) until late 1892 when he moved his business to Afton, Iowa.
Photographs produced by Mr. HADDIX are easy to identify on the bottom of the backing included with the photos (see below). At the time, photographs were expensive and only taken on rare occasions.

The only inscription on this photograph was that of "Edith" on the front. Girl looks to be about 2 years old. Possible persons from Tingley are Edith BLAUER born in 1884 or Edith SWAIN Tingley class of 1902.
No inscription is found on this photograph. A young girl, possibly pre-teens.
G.W. CARPENTER
Professional photographer G.W. CARPENTER was active in Ringgold County and surrounding communities during the late 1890s until the spring of 1897 when he moved to Washington state.
