Watterson Reunion
The annual Watterson reunion was held September 11, 2010 about eight miles south of Mount Ayr on the Joe FUEMMELER place.
Hosts were Junior and Katherine (WEBB) WION of Des Moines. Music was provided by Ronnie RAUCH of Leon, Jim GEORGE of
Diagonal, Russ WRIGHT of Humeston and Bill LIVINGSTON of Clearfield. A potluck summer was shared by all and old-time
stories were shared by many. Those in attendance included Kenneth and Polly WEBB of Indianola; Jeanette QUICK of
Creston; Pearl MAY of Tingley; Carlotta CARR of Des Moines; Dr. Vernadean (HACKER) BUCHAN-ROCHA of Jenks, OK; Deb TONEY
of Decatur City; Joe and Carol WASHBURN and Tom and Christi BARTOSIEWICA of Hatfield, MO; Mic and Karen KESTERSON of
Tabor; Neil and Irma JOHNSTON of Beaconsfield; Phillip and Bonnie GODDEN of Bedford; Rose JAMES of Redding; Joe FUEMMELER
of Rushville, MO; Spence, Becky, Tyler and Riley JONES of Kellerton; and Mike AVITT of Carroll. Those attending from
Mount Ayr were Theola (HIGHTSHOE) WEEDA, Forrest SHIELDS, Max and Joyce SMITH, Dennis PYLAND, Jeremiah MURPHY, Gerald and
Bonnie SUMMA, Oscar and Barb VAAL, Kevin SHELMAN family, Fred and Mary SHIELDS, Alan TAYLOR and Gene and Bertha
MOTSINGER. The whole gang wishes to say "Happy 40th Anniversary" to Charlie and Vickie JAMES who couldn't be there.
