The annual BROWN reunion was held August 16, 2008 at the Ellston community building in Ellston.

There were 37 in attendance, Berniece CARROLL was the oldest and Grant STAATS, the youngest. Catherine and Karla BROWN and Junior CARROLL traveled the greatest distance.

There were six graduations, five marriages, five deaths and three births reported.

Those in attendance were LaRetta NOVAK, Creston; Susan STEIN, Eagle Grove; Brian and Carmen FOLAND, Murray; Sharon and David ROBISON, Altoona; Vic and Linda BROWN, Estherville; Karla and Katherine BROWN, Wagoner, DS; Richard and Doris GOLDNER and Brian and Laurie ROBISON, Des Moines;

Arlan and Linda BROWN, Indianola; Gale BROWN, Neola; Marvin and Onie BROWN, Nevada; Randell BROWN, Tony and Andy FREIHAGE, Bob and Verna MARTIN, Mount Ayr; Doris TODD and Jm and Falissa NOVAK, Tingley; Berniece CARROLL and Glena GROVE, Eldon; Junior CARROLL, Lincoln, NE; and Fred, Janella, Grant and Luria STAATS and Reta, Larry and Tracy FREIHAGE, Ellston.

All sang "Happy Birthday to Verna MARTIN.

The 2009 reunion will be held the third Saturday in August at the same loction.
