United Brethren Church

Beaconsfield, Iowa

The United Brethren Church built in 1885. The church held a dedication service on November 29, 1885. The church had regular services until the late 1910s. The last regular service mentioned in the newspaper archives was in May 1917 preached by Rev. ROBB. Later in June 1919, Supt. W.F. CRONK held a business meeting with the United Brethren people at the church.

The U.B. congregation later merged with the Methodist church in Beaconsfield.
In July 1938, the building was torn down.

Workmen started to wreck the United Brethren church today. This was on of the oldest buildings left in our town, and we regret to see this old landmark go.
