Hi! Thanks to Sarah and the "Irish" for posting interesting informations! But i belive that the children of Pedro and Pauline Vidal were born in Norway. This according to the census of 1870.

Citing this Record"United States Census, 1870," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MDV6-DCC : accessed 8 October 2015), James Videll in household of Peter Videll, Iowa, United States; citing p. 22, family 170, NARA microfilm publication M593 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.); FHL microfilm 545,902.
In addition to this the curch records for Kristiansund has a birth of one child ...Maria in 1853. The year Lia Maria was born.
Strange however that Pauline was named Rosella!? in the 1870 census for Des Moines, Lee, Iowa.
I wonder what kind of place was/is Des Moines and Sugar Creek? There were the old Vidal and Dupy family lived?
Does anybody know if any of their descendants still live in this area?
With Friendly Regards
