This may serve to muddy the waters further:

Louann Brown

died
Sept. 3 1866
Aged
60 yrs 11 months 21 days

I used chalk on the tombstone. It was easy to read - except the "60 yrs" was right at the edge of the stone and the first numeral was not clear. It could have been a 5, or 6 or 8 etc.
