Dick, Thank you for answering my query. If the death date is in March and as you stated quote"The name of every persn whose usual place of adobe on the first of June, 1860 was in the family" unquote. Do you mean as of January 1, 1860. If she was dead in March she certainly isn't going to show up on the census,but she is showing up on the census. She should be on the mortality schedule for 1860. I didn't think to check there but that will be my next step.
