For your information:

I recently donated an electronic file of my extensive and detailed genealogical database, mostly related to Jones County residents.

It is available for anyone to read at the Anamosa Library and will be updated periodically. It is not available online.

The database consists of more than 330,000 individuals, all somehow tangentially related to me. It contains much biographical data on many persons. 95% of the families listed in the 1988 Jones County Pictorial Atlas are in the database.

I am related to the Soper clan who settled in Jones County in 1847. For the past 16 years I have made numerous visits to Jones County and have visited (more than once!) every cemetery there.
