On Wednesday, Nov. 28, Miss Evelyn Henning, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arno Henning of Farmersburg, became the bride of Robert Wacker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wacker of Elkader. The wedding took place in St. John's Lutheran church at Farmersburg with the Rev. R. H. Steege officiating. Miss Phyllis Henning, sister of the bride served as maid of honor, and Miss Karen Walter, niece of the groom, served as bridesmaid. Miss Joyce Walter, niece of the groom, served as junior bridesmaid. Miss Arleta Henning, sister of the bride and Miss Mary Louise Walter, niece of the groom, acted as flower girls. Franklin Wacker served his brother as best man. John Henry Mueller, cousin of the bride, acted a groomsman and Vernon Henning, brother of the bride served as junior groomsman. Dennis Henning, brother of the bride, was ring bearer. Ushers were L'Dean Radloff, cousin of the bride, and Gene Walter, nephew of the groom. Mrs. Henry Henning, paternal grandmother of the bride, and Mrs. Wm. Radloff, maternal grandmother of the bride were present for the ceremony.

Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors for about 200 guests, at which Mrs. Eugene Miller, cousin of the bride, had charge of the guest book. Mrs. Lester Walter, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Joe Wacker, sister -in-law of the groom, had charge of the gift table.

The bride is a graduate of Farmersburg high school and the groom is a graduate of the Elkader high school, and now has been engaged in farming. The new couple will be at home on the groom's parents' farm.
