At St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church at Garber, Oct. 21, Miss Bernice Thein, twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred B. Thein, Garber, became the bride of Donald A. Wold, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Wold of St. Olaf. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, August Thein. Mrs. James Brady of Cedar Rapids, twin sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Leigh Wold of Decorah, served his brother as best man. Roy Engelhardt Jr. of St. Olaf, cousin of the groom, and James Brady of Cedar Rapids, brother-in-law of the bride, ushered.
At the reception for 150 guests, Mrs. Earl Brown, aunt of the bride, cut the cake.
The bride is a graduate of the Elkport high school. For the past three years she has been employed as bookkeeper in the Central State Bank at Elkader. She will resume her position on Oct. 29. The groom is a graduate of the Elkader public school. He is engaged in farming on his father's farm near St. Oaf, where the new home will be made.
