At St. Joseph church, Elkader, Oct. 27, Miss Donna Mae Thein became the bride of Louis Dale Klingman. The Rev. Father Robert L. Ferring officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Thein, Elkader, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Klingman, Elgin. Miss Elaine Gottschalk was maid of honor, and Miss Catherine Kelleher was bridesmaid. Merle Klingman served his brother as best man and another brother, Carroll Klingman Jr., was his other attendant. Ushers were Reece Gibbs and Gordon Pollock, both of Elgin. Mrs. Alto Klingman, parental grandmother of the groom, and Mrs. John Laritz, maternal grandmother, were present.
The bride is a graduate of the Elkader high school and the Paris Academy of Beauty Culture, Cedar Rapids. For the past three years she has owned and operated Donna's Compak in Elkader. Her husband is a graduate of the Elgin high school and is now engaged in farming.
Both contracting parties will continue their operations, and will be at home in the lower apartment of the Mrs. M. H. McTaggart home.
