Miss Valeera Zurcher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Zurcher of Farmersburg, became the bride of Daniel Gabel Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Gabel of Fort Madison, Iowa, on August 12, at St. John's Lutheran church, Farmersburg, with the Rev. R. H. Steege officiating. Miss Delores Lucas of West Burlington, Iowa, a fellow teacher of the bride, was maid of honor, and Keith Burkholder of Chillicothe, Ill., cousin of the groom, was best man. Ushers were John Henry Muller of Luana, cousin of the bride, and Wayne Burkholder of Chillicothe, Ill., cousin of the groom.

The bride was graduated from Farmersburg high school and attended Wartburg college, Waverly. She taught in the Iowa schools for the past several years and will continue teaching in Fort Madison. The groom was graduated from Fort Madison high school and Fort Madison business college. He also served with the U.S. Navy for two and one-half years.

The new couple will be at home in Fort Madison, where the groom is employed by the DuPont Company.
