Was it possible for the same people to be counted in two different Census reports for the same year? 1870 Washington Township, IA shows Sarah Shields (age 22)and Flora Shields (age 2)and your response is showing 1870 Census for Bates Cty, Missouri, Sarah Shields age 21 (Iowa)and Flora Shields age 3(Iowa). Does the marriage certificate that you mention in your response show Edward Shields' parents names?
