William Fred Daleske, Jr. was born June 22, 1927 to William F. (Sr.) and Margaret Hansen Daleske. He died Aug. 31, 2021 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Sgt. Daleske served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Donald Basil Dickenson was born May 9, 1916 to David John and Geneva Marie Engle Dickenson. He died Feb. 1, 1943/FOD Feb. 2, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. 

Petty Officer Dickenson served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS DeHaven (DD-469) and became MIA when the DeHaven was hit by three Japanese bombs in the Guadalcanal Campaign and eventually sank. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Joseph E. Dillon was born about 1919 to Errol Cody and Nellie J. Hammond Dillon. He died Dec. 15, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Dillon served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and became MIA. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Ravelle Williams Doan was born Nov. 1, 1925 to Clair Ravelle and Edna H. Williams Doan. He died May 24, 1951 and is buried in Jackson Township Cemetery, Owasa, IA.

Pvt. Doan served with the U.S. Army 174th Infantry in World War II.
