4th Iowa Infantry

Including Rosters & Photos

Submitted by Richard (Rick) King

My great-grandfather, Peter C. King (1845-1934), served in the 4th Iowa Infantry, Co K from Taylor County during and after the Civil War. He was active in organizing and attending reunions over the years. He has left to my family many momentos of his time of service including wartime diaries, letters from and to comrades and photos.  I have scanned the photographs of many of his comrades, many taken in Louisville, KY, I presume when they mustered out. They suffer from years of storage, you have my permission to use them.
