Roy L. Sexton, 89, of the Burlington Care Center, died at 3:25 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 1991, at the care Center.
Born May 5, 1902, in Milton, Iowa, he was the son of Russell Lewis and Olive Moland Sexton. He married Annabelle Lasley June 10, 1926, in Des Moines. She died May 13, 1988.
He was a graduate of Milton High School. He was a past licensed funeral director and embalmer and had been a sales manager and vice president of Embalming Burial Case Co. for 30 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Small Business Association, and the (the) Celestial Lodge No. 413 A.F.&A.M. of Douds. He was a past member of the Caanan Lodge No. 627 A.F.&A.M. of Mount Union and was a 68-year master Mason.
Surviving ae three daughters, Mrs. Sharon Anson, Dublin, Mich., Mrs. Sheila Davison, Sacramento, Calif., and Kandi Lewis, Boulder, Colo.; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The service was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, 1991 at the First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Robert Dodder officiating. Burial was in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the First United Methodist Church.
