Rev. Neal Alexander

Neal Alexander passed away March 22, 1991, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 53 years, three months and one day.

Neal Brian Alexander, son of Joseph and Opal Gracey Alexader, was born December 21, 1937, in Chicago, Il. He grew up and attended school in the Chicago area, graduating from Stockport High School with the class of 1957 and then serving eight years enlistment in the Army Reserves. On December 21, 1958, he was united in marriage with Esther Dorothey and to this union three children were born. He felt the call of God in his life and enrolled in Vennard College and graduated in 1962. he served as a missionary of American Sunday School Union for 20 years. Neal also spent five years with World Gospel Mission and was currently serving as Superintendent of the Jericho Hills Camp in Lucas, IA. Neal and Esther served the Lord together for 32 years. He was ordained in the Association of Fundamental Ministers and Churches.

He is survived by his wife, Esther; two daughters and their husbands: Laurie and David Budding of Pella, Linda and William Penewit of Dayton, OH; a son, Lowell, a student at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls; a sister, Janice (Mr. Ed) Cassidy of Kansas City, MO and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
