L. Kutcher Dies at 30

KEOSAUQUA - Lee Kent Kutcher, 30, died of cancer at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at University Hospital in Iowa.

Last rites will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Charles Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Pittsburg.

The son of LaMont and Verle Bostock Kutcher, he was born Aug. 7, 1946 at Fairfield and lived his entire life in Van Buren County, except for three years in the U.S. Army. For the past six years he has been a custodian at the Van Buren Community School in Keosauqua.

He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents and an aunt.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Verle Koonts and step-father, Retson Koonts of Bloomfield; two step-brothers, Darrell and Dale Koonts.

He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church at Douds.
