Donald E. Wolfe

Donald E. Wolfe, 92, Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, October 2, 1991 in Sun City, Arizona.

Born November 15, 1908 in rural Van Buren County to Samuel M. and Bernetta Robinson Wolfe, he married Eva A. Munson on August 24, 1937 in Keosauqua.

He was a 1926 graduate of Keosauqua High School at Fairfield, attended Parsons College at Fairfield, and graduated from State Teachers College at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He taught school in Van Buren County, and was the county assistant engineer there. After moving to Mount Pleasant, he was employed by IAAP in Burlington and then became the USDA-ASCS technician in Henry County for 32 years. He had also worked for Blue Bird Bus Company after retirement.

Mr. Wolfe was a member of the Center Chapel United Methodist Chruch near Keosauqua and the First United Methodist churches of Mount Pleasant and Sun City, and was a member of the Moose Lodge of Mount Pleasant.

Surviving are his wife of Mount Pleasant; a daughter, Mrs. Martin (Sharon) Timan of Santa Fe, New Mexico; one grandson and two great-grandsons.

Services for Mr. Wolfe will be held on Saturday, November 2 in Mount Pleasant. Masonic, Commandry and Eastern Star services will be held at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Chruch with Reverend Deborah Kiesey and Reverend Dan Munson officiating. Burial of the cremains will be on the family plot in the Center Chapel Cemetery, southeast of Keosauqua.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 1 at the Donald Wolfe home, 507 South Walnut, Mount Pleasant.

Memorials have been established to the Mount Pleasant Masonic Temple building trust fund, the First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant or the Center Chapel United Methodist Church at Keosauqua.
