Amelia S. Weaver

Amelia S. Weaver, 89, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 25, 1991 at 4:25 a.m. at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka where she had been a resident since November 26, 1990.

The daughter of Herman P. and Mary Lang Kirchner, she was born at Kahoka on September 23, 1901.

She was united in marriage to John Clark (J.C.) Weaver at Kahoka on June 29, 1932 and he preceded her in death on August 1, 1980.

Surviving are two stepsons, Harley L. Weaver of Farmington and Clark E. Weaver of Kahoka; one stepdaughter, Garnett Rider of Donnellson; one brother, Alfred Kirchner of Fort Madison; 16 step-grandchildren, 34 step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one stepdaughter Mary F. Kerr, three sisters and three brothers.

She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ at Kahoka, was a member of the Anson Ladies Aid and a longtime member of the Anson Community Church.

She had lived in the Anson community until moving to Kahoka in 1979. She had attended the Fort Madison Business College.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 28 at 11 a.m. at Shaffer and Son Memorial Chapel in Kahoka, Missouri with Reverend N. Dale Thompson and Reverend Mike Shea officiating. Burial was in the Anson Cemetery at Anson, Missouri.

Memorials may be made to the Anson Community Church or the Anson Cemetery fund.
