Grace R. McManis

Grace R. McManis, 77, of rural Montrose, died at 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 1990, at her home.

Born Dec. 8, 1912, she was the daughter of Carl and Maude Potter Judd. She married Craig W. McManis August 4, 1930, in Davis County, Iowa. He died in November, 1971.

She was a retired W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. employee with 20 years of service. She was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are three sons, Paul McManis, Louisville, Nebr., Bill McManis, Bozeman, Mont., and Robert McManis, Montrose; one sister, Mable Detra, Mason City; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Grace was raised in the home of Stan and Ora Beeler at Lebanon, Iowa.

Graveside committal services were held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 1990 at the Montrose Cemetery with the Rev. David Dailey officiating.
