Karen, I did some looking for you and located the girls in the census records and also Melva's death and burial information, as well as Wisconsin birth and baptismal records. I also found historical information and photographs.
The orphanage was the United Norwegian Lutheran Church Orphan Home [AKA Beloit Children’s Home] locared near Beloit in Lyon County, Iowa. It was located across the river from Canton, South Dakota in the very northwest corner of the state of Iowa.
