Hi Terry, That's my point. You're posting but not communicating. You have to tell people specifically what you want. I could only assume you had the 1900 cenus. Perhaps your initial request should have said "I have Eugene & Susan Battisfore on the 1900 Davenport city directory. Would like to find them on the 1900 census". Basic essential information such as names, ages & nativities, (when known) should appear on any request. You didn't even indicate who was living at that address, Susan Carpenter, Susan Battisfore or Alice Battisfore or Alice Shaffer. There are really good volunteers out here Terry but they have to know specifically what you need to further your research. Don't post saying "I'm looking for information". We're all looking for information on our ancestors. I told you where you could get the 1880 census and also how they were indexed on the 1900 census. You didn't ask me to send you the 1900 census image so I don't know if you have access to them or not. Communicate with your volunteers Terry. Find your people on all available census records first. It give you more data to work with. You will find more information on Susan Carpenter as you progress in your research, but we all do it one step at a time. Good luck in your research. Dick
