No, I have not contacted St. Ambrose or Georgetown yet. My attempts to locate other Catholic clergy in the Md/DC area has not been successful. Perhaps this will be my New Year's resolution.

Early papers just note that Father Maniett disappeared. I had thought they meant Joseph, the father of Henry who died and is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Monroe Co., Iowa. The mother remarried to James Gallagher and Henry resides with them in 1880.
