James Ralph Sissel

James Ralph Sissel of Torrington, Wyo. died December 21, 1973, in the Scottsbluff, Neb. hospital at the age of 66 years.

He was born April 5, 1907, at Kellerton, Iowa, the son of California and Mattie Penney Sissel. He lived in Iowa until 1937, when he moved to Wyoming and since that time had been engaged in farming south of Torrington. He was a member of the Wyoming-Nebraska Wheatgrowers Association.

On June 4, 1934, he was united in marriage with Edith Knight at Edina, Mo.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Betty Joyce (Mrs. Dee James) and Evelyn Mae (Mrs. Don Jepson), both of Douglas, Wyo.; a brother, Glen Sissel of Kellerton; a sister, Mrs. R.F. Watson of Des Moines, and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held December 24 from the Colyer Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Sims officiating. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery.
