SHANNON CITY WOMAN DIES

SHANNON CITY - Mrs. Cornelia WHITTINGTON, 89, of Shannon City died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Moore nursing home at Afton. She had been in the nursing home for some time.

Mrs. WHITTINGTON had lived in the Shannon City community for many years. Her husband, Frank WHITTINGTON, preceded her in death in November 1962.

Her body is at the Varner funeral home at Diagonal. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church here. Rev. Franklin SCHWAM will officicate. Burial in Shannon City cemetery.

Mrs WHITTINGTON is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Juanita SALSBURY of Kelso, Wash.; two sons, Robert WHITTINGTON of Kelso Wash., and Howard WHITTINGTON of rural Diagonal; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
