OBITUARY

Herbert Wayne ELLISON, 82, of Eden, Texas, formerly of Beaconsfield, died December 9, 2002, at Concho Health and Rehab Center in Texas.

Services were 2 p.m. Friday, December 13, in the chapel of Eden Funeral Home in Eden, Texas. Carol STEPP officiated the service. Burial was in Eden Cemetery.

Mr. ELLISON, son of Grace Leona (THOMPSON) and Parks Meredith ELLISON, was born September 6, 1920, in Beaconsfield. On February 7, 1981, he married Viema ROBBINS. He worked for Creston Hardware in Creston, was a repairman and a sergeant in the New Mexico Mounted Patrol. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Viema ELLISON of Eden, Texas; two children, Gerald ELLISON of Eden, Texas, and Gilda ELLISON of Cork Oracle, Ariz.; two step-sons, Larry DOWNS of Eden, Texas, and Leroy DOWNS of Arlington, Texas; three sisters, Marjorie ADKINSON of Mount Ayr, Merle SOUTH of Afton and Audrey ROWE of Wellman; a brother, Cecil ELLISON of Nolanville, Texas; four grand-children and three great-grand-children.
