OBITUARY - Mrs. F. M. ELLISON

Grace Leona THOMPSON, daughter of Stewart L. Dellitt THOMPSON, was born February 9, 1890, near Mount Ayr, Iowa, and passed away May 8, 1958, in her home at Beaconsfield, at the age of 68 years, two months and 27 days.

Her early life was spent near Mount Ayr. She attended the Oak Grove school and was a member of the High Point Methodist church.

On January 2, 1908, she was united in marriage to Park M. ELLISON, at Mount Ayr, and they established their home on a farm near Ellston. Most of her life was spent in Ringgold county, with the exception of a short period in Brush, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. ELLISON would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on January 2 of next year.

Mrs. ELLISON was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lois, and a brother, Dellitt.

Survivors are her husband, Park ELLISON; nine children: (Lula) Mrs. Clarence BLAUER, of Beaconsfield; (Edna) Mrs. Delbert DOLSON of Winterset;, Stewart ELLISON of Mount Ayr; (Pauline) Mrs. Earl LEWIS of Golden, Colo.; Wayne ELLISON and (Marjorie) Mrs. Harold ADKISSON of Creston; (Merle) Mrs. Howard SOUTH of Shannon City; (Audrey) Mrs. Keith ROWE of Wellman; and Cecil ELLISON of the united States Army; 28 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Newell of Cainsville, Mo. and Wilfred of Mitchell, S.D.; a half-brother, Kenneth of Las Vegas, Nev.; a half-sister, Muriel of Reno, Nev.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, May 10, from the Methodist church in Ellston, conducted by the Reverends M. J. NASH, of Kellerton, and Willus GRANT, of Tingley. Music was provided by Mrs. Leo MORGAN and Mrs. Jim JONES, with piano accompaniment by Mrs. Donald FLOHRA. Casketbearers were Cecil CORNWALL, Keith, Dale and Ray WALTSON, Paul WION and Ralph OFASON. Interment was in the Oliver cemetery [Ringgold County, Iowa].
