DEATH CLAIMS PROMINENT AND RESPECTED LAWYER.
At 3:20 o'clock yesterday [Wednesday, January 4, 1932] afternoon death claimed Frank F. FULLER. Announcement of the death, though not unexpected, came as a shock and cast the shadow of sorrow over the community. The end came peacefully after an illness of three years' duration, during which were manifest a courageous spirit and the fine qualities of sterling manhood, faith and hope and thoughtfulness for others, qualities ever admired and which make for progress toward perfection.
The death of Mr. FULLER marks the passing of one who as a lawyer held in high regard the ethics of the profession and one who was ever interested in the advancement of society. He was born [January 7, 1868] in Warren, Ohio, and would have reached his 74th birthday Saturday of this week, January 7. In early life he prepared to follow the profession of teaching and for a number of years was engaged in educational work in Ohio, before coming to Ringgold county in the year 1886. After locating in Ringgold county he continued to teach, being for a time in charge of the Tingley school. He then took up the practice of law, opening offices in Mount Ayr, where he continued in practice until a few weeks before his death. A paralytic stroke, suffered three years ago, affected his right side and he had not fully regained the use of the right side when three weeks ago he suffered a stroke which affected the left side, since which time he had been confined to his bed at his home in northeast Mount Ayr. He retained his fine faculties of mind until near the end.
Announcement of funeral arrangements had not been made at the hour the Record-News went to press and an extended obituary is not available for publication in this issue.
NOTE: Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.
