Rudolph Paul Holtz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Holtz, was born in Germany, September 9, 1873, and departed this life on March 16, 1954.
With his parents he came to LaPorte county, Indiana. At an early age he was baptized and later confirmed in the St. John's Lutheran church in LaPorte, Indiana.
On May 4th, l895, he was united in marriage to Hannah Langhand.
He leaves to mourn his death, his widow, Hannah, two sons, Walter and George, and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lillie, Mrs. Adolph Hemming.
Mr. Holtz moved onto a farm in Osceola county in 1911 and lived there until the year, 1945, when they made their home in Spencer.
Funeral services were conducted at the St. John Lutheran church in May City Friday at 2 p.m., March 19. Rev. Steffen of Spencer and Rev. Gutknecht of May City were in charge of the services.
Interment was made in the May City cemetery.
