Funeral services were held Friday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. for Lilah Buchholz, 73, who died July 25 at the Sibley Care Center. Rev. Paul Hansen officiated. Interment was in Baker Township Cemetery at Melvin.

Lilah Wilcox, the daughter of Edgar and Bertha (Bell) Wilcox, was born at Rolfe, Iowa, on Aug. 6, 1904. She lived her youth, attended elementary school and graduated from high school at Rolfe. She was united in marriage to Louis Buchholz on Dec. 3, 1934 at Sioux Falls, S.D. Their entire life was lived in Melvin. She entered the Sibley Care Center on July 8, 1977 and lived there until the time of her death.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jane (Mrs. Ivan Elgersma) of Lakeville, Minn.; one grandson, Bruce; two step-children; Louis Buchholz Jr. Of McCook Lake, S.D., and Mary (Mrs. Ray Hansen) of Holstein; five step-grandchildren; and one brother, James Wilcox of Rolfe.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Louis, on Feb. 3, 1976.

She was a member of the Melvin United Methodist Church.
