Funeral services for Walter Lee Fox, 71, father of Donald E. Fox, Tipton, were held at Muscatine Jan. 6, 1989 with the Rev. Gary House of the Four Square Church officiating. Burial was at Greenwood cemetery, Muscatine. Mr. Fox died at the Lutheran Homes, Muscatine, Jan. 4.

The son of Daniel Augustus and Minnie Lee King Fox, he was born at Portersville, Ala. July 13, 1917 and lived there for 54 years. He was married to Ruby Mae Leonard in Muscatine April 23, 1938.

Mr. Fox came to Muscatine in 1934 to work at Huttig Mfg. Co. He was also employed by the city of Muscatine, the gas company, Rock Island Arsenal and John Deere. He retired from H. J. Heinz Co. in 1972 after 27 years of employment there.

Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Glenn, Muscatine and Donald E., Tipton, 4 daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Lois) Pace and Mrs. George (Norma) Terrill, Muscatine; Frances Dennis, Wapello and Mrs. Phillip (Sharon Ann) Martin, Muscatine; 26 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 half-brothers, Guy and Buford, both of Alabama and a half-sister, Christine, Brownwood, Texas.

His parents and 3 grandchildren preceded him in death.
