Funeral services for Carl Frick, 79, were held at Durant Dec. 12 with the Rev. Peter L. Sickels officiating. Pallbearers were Darrel Hein, Melvin Reissen, Wilbert Siebke, Jack and Alvin Broders and Don Fox. Mabyn Fox was organist. Burial was in the Walcott cemetery.

Mr. Frick died at his home in Durant Dec. 9.

The son of Hiram and Meta Moeller Frick, he was born in Scott county Sept. 11, 1909. He married Myrtle Goering at Davenport Dec. 18, 1935. They farmed for 41 years before retiring in 1977. He raised purebred Shorthorn cattle.

Mr. Frick served on the Muscatine county and Durant school boards.

He is survived by his wife; 5 sons, Lloyd, Ankeny; Delmar, Durant; Leon, Goose Lake; Richard, Stockton and Merlyn, Beaver Dam, Wis.; a daughter, Mrs. Ted (Joan) Brus, Davenport; 21 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, John and Walter, Walcott and 4 sisters, Mrs. Albert (Alma) Kern, Ella Dietz, Leona Frick and Erline Frick, Davenport. He was preceded in death by a daughter.
