Page 1Wednesday's Journal: The blighting of the life romance of Sidney A. Rummery two weeks ago, when his wife died, resulted in his death last evening, at 7 o'clock at his home on West Fourth street. He was married twice, his second marriage taking place in January 1877, to Miss Ella Cottrell, who preceded him in death about two weeks ago. Up to about six years ago he had resided continuously on Muscatine Island, when he removed to 413 East Fourth street and resided there up to the time of the death of his wife, later making his home with E. W. Krebbs, at 310 East third street.
