Scott Michael Lillie, 53, of Earlham, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home on January 13, 2025. Born on June 11, 1971, at Madison County Hospital in Winterset, Iowa, he was the son of Mike and Pam (née Peterson) Lillie.
Scott was a proud graduate of Winterset High School, Class of 1990, where he was known for his love of sports, particularly football and golf. His passion for the game continued throughout his life, and he carried that same enthusiasm and team spirit into his adult years.
Over the years, Scott worked for several companies in the area, starting with the Elevator in Earlham, then moving on to Rhodes Trucking, the City of Waukee, and most recently, Mid American Energy. His dedication to his work and his strong sense of community made him well respected by his colleagues and friends.
Outside of work, Scott was an avid outdoorsman who cherished time spent camping. He also had a special place in his heart for his two beloved dogs, Lily and Daisy, whom he adored and spoiled endlessly.
Scott is survived by his father, Mike (Delores) Lillie of West Chester; sister, Kristen Garner of Des Moines; nephew, Alan Rowland; niece, Deidra Rowland (Tanner Hale) of Winterset; step-sister, Kim Dean of Clinton; step-brothers, Jason Craff of Fort Prince, Florida and Eleazar Lozano of Sigourney, Iowa; and many Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pam in 1982; friend, Jodi Reynolds in 2022; paternal grandparents, Dean and Helen Lillie of Winterset; and maternal grandparents, John and Fern Peterson of Lorimor.
A Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
