Emmet Brockway, for many years a well known resident of this county, passed away on Sunday afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. R. Letts, near Letts, Iowa. He was crippled with paralysis and for the last fifteen months made his home with his sister, where he received every attention which loving care might bestow upon him. He was seventy-six years of age and is survived by his wife, three daughters and one son. He was an uncle of the Hon. James Brockway, representative from Louisa county to the state legislature. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Letts on Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Hamil, of Grandview, officiating. Interment was made at the Conesville cemetery.
