Problems in WV

I can't find any records on this relative other than he was born c:1856 (in Iowa? according to my deceased grandma)died 3 dec 1893. He married Alavoisa Johnson born c:1858 don't know when or where they were married ; she died 20 dec 1935 in arkansas.They had 4 children. If anyone can help I would appriciate any information, all my info is very questionable.
