A puzzle hoping someone can solve?

For Henry Marvin Dirks (1920-2003), I have his parents as Hinrich "Henry" Melchers Dirks (1897-1976) and Helena "Anna" Anna Wilhelmina Neunaber (1895-1981). This came from a works by Lena Freese Dirks. I haven't seen his obit to know what is listed there?

I am also researching Lenore A. Dirks, born c.1923 also in Wayne area. Her parents in the 1930 census are shown as Henry D. Dirks (born c.1897) and Louise M. Dirks (born c.1899). There were no boys at home and sure that Marvin would be at age 10 and yet, I had assumed that Lenore was a sister to him?

Does anyone recognize this family and can help put things in place?
