Would like to share info on Nicholas GLYNN, b.c. 1875, probably in Co. Galway, Ireland. In 1840s settled in northeast section of Washington twp., Jones Co. with brother(?) Patrick (b.c. 1897/1810; d. 1887; bur. at St. Peters, Temple Hill with Thomas & Bridget LEONARD). Married Mary ROACH. Two daughters: Johanna "Josie" or "Julia", b.c. 1849 (baptized at St. Patricks, Garry Owen; godparents Mary BURKE and James LEONARD; m. Lawrence BOWDEN 1869) and Bridget, b.c. 1851. One son, David Richard, b. Mar 1854 or 1855. Mary ROACH d. 1854/5, probably in childbirth. Nicholas d. late 1854. The children were raised by Thomas & Bridget LEONARD. David m. Eliza CURRAN (dau. of Nellie BUCKLEY & James Crimins CURRAN) Feb. 1879 in Toronto, Clinton Co, IA, and farmed in Lost Nation, Sharon twp., Clinton Co., IA.
