To Debbie Waters: My Waters line also dates back to emigrating in 1635. I am also trying to find more on Francis Shimerda. I have learned that the names in Czech is spelled Simerda. I believe she is the sister of Anthony/Anton. There is an Iowa census listing Francis, age 17 in Jones County, Iowa. If you Google "John J. Waters (her husband), Searcy, Arkansas, you can get an article and picture of Francis and John.
