Adam Helmick traveled from TN to live in Fairview and Anamosa, Jones County, Iowa in the early 1850's. I would be so grateful to hear from a family that may have known them. My great grandmother, I believe was Adam's sister. She lived in Lewisburg, Greenbrier County VA (Now WV) when Adam was in Jones County and corresponded with Adam in the 1850's. She died in 1861, so my window of opportunity to find out about Adam's family's very small. I am hoping that there might be a descendant of Adam Helmick still living in this area and might get in touch with me. It has taken me 15 years of work to get to this point, and now I am 81.......the window keeps getting smaller.
