I have a question. When looking up Coalport though a defunct town. One Iowa page has the small town in Marion County and one in Jefferson County. My Grandma was born in Coalport, Ada (Carpenter) Joy in 1909. I would like to at least know where she was actually born in Marion County or Jefferson County. Her father was a blacksmith. I found a .pdf of a book that was written about Coalport but it also is listed in Marion. Could there have been two one named Coleport and one named Coal Ridge seeing as that is how it was also referenced in the afore mentioned book. Thank you for any and all help. Kathy
