I found parents names on the Funeral Home records.
The Family History Library in Salt Lake City has many of these on microfiche which they only charge 15 cents each for. Mine were from the Jones Funeral Home and they gave a lot of information, including the parents names. This library has filmed all of the records for Iowa.
If you have not used them before go to:
http://www.familysearch.org
It will tell you where your nearest branch library
is located and if you search under the library catalog you can see what records they have.
They are very helpful and you do not have to be
Mormon to use their library.
