ObITUARY.
LIGHT.
After an illness of over a year, much of the time in extreme suffering, Miss Frances Light passed to her eternal reward.
Frances Light was born at Barrington Center, Ill., on July 27, 1856. When she was about nine years of age, the family moved to Iowa in 1865 locating on a farm in Albion township, Howard county about nine miles northeast of what is now Cresco. The family moved to Cresco in 1870 and this has ever since been their home. Her father died in March 1917, and a sister Mrs. Sarah Bateman, died in July 1909.
Frances united with the Methodist Episcopal church in early life and has lived a consistent, earnest christian life until God called her home. She was of a quiet disposition, patient, home loving and cheerful. She was unselfish and kind, appreciated the favors of others and was always thankful for any services there were rendered for her. She departed this life on Thursday noon, August 14, 1919, age 63 years and 17 days.
There remain of the family the mother, Mrs. Phoebe Light, who with the sister Louise, have tenderly cared for Frances during her long illness; George Light of New Plymouth, Idaho; John of Fernando, Cal.; and Miss Louise in the home besides nephews, nieces and a large number of friends.
The funeral service was held in the home at 519 Fourth Ave., West on Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. E. G. Copeland. Beautiful music was furnished by the Mesdames Allen and Herman accompanied by Mrs. Nichols. Interment was made at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

CARD OF THANKS.
We desire to thank our friends and neighbors for their kindness during the recent illness of Miss Frances Light and also for the sympathy and beautiful offerings in our bereavement.
Mrs. Phoebe Light,
Miss Louise Light.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name as Lydia Frances; however, her gravestone just shows Frances. It also shows her mother’s name was spelled Phebe.
