Death of Former Cresco Resident.
Mrs. Charles Daughenbaugh of Pecatonica, Ill., passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 5th at ten o’clock at the general hospital in Belot, shortly after undergoing an operation for goitre. Funeral services were held the following Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the U. B. church in Ridott, and interment was made in the cemetery there.
Lucy Vanhouse was born Nov. 28, 1881, in Cresco, Ia., and was married there Nov. 13, 1898, to Charles Daughenbaugh, who with their eight children mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. The children who are all at home, are Mary, Rose, Myrtle, Jennie, Frank, Joseph, Peter and Edward. Two brothers of the deceased reside in Minnesota, Lester Vanhouse of Minneapolis, and John of Killihier.
