Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vachta and daughter returned to their home in Prairie du Chien, Wis., after attending the funeral here of their father.

Died—George Vachta, a resident here for many years passed away Wednesday, August 6th. Funeral was held at the Holy Trinity church Friday with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Deceased leaves to mourn his loss, a wife and six children as follows: Frank, Charles, George, Jessie and Mary of this place and Fred who lives at Prairie Du Chein, Wis. Besides other relatives and a large circle of friends. Heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone shows he was born in March 28, 1865 It also shows his name as Jiri.
